Table-Top Header vs. Overhead Banner: What's the Difference?

New vendors often use "header" and "banner" interchangeably, but at a card show they serve different roles in your booth layout, and most established shops end up running both eventually.

What a table-top header does

A Table Top Header attaches directly above your table, spanning its width and rising a few feet overhead. It's the piece that ties your tablecloth and the rest of your display together into one continuous branded surface, and it's visible even when you're seated and customers are standing right at the table.

What a retractable banner does

A Retractable Banner stands independently beside or behind your booth, reaching full height on its own base. It's what catches attention from further down the aisle, before someone has even reached your table.

Do you need both?

If your booth is a single table in a busy aisle, a header alone often gets the job done — it keeps your setup compact while still adding vertical branding. If you're working a larger footprint, corner booth, or want to be visible from across the room, adding a banner on top of the header creates layered visibility: the banner pulls people in, and the header reinforces the brand once they're at the table.
